The Savings Bank of Maine Visa Debit Card allows you to make purchases at millions of locations world wide. Simply present your card at the time of purchase and the amount will be deducted from your primary checking account.
There is no fee for transactions conducted at Savings Bank of Maine ATM locations and there is no fee for transactions conducted at merchants, when you authorize the transaction by signing your name on a transaction slip or authorizing a transaction by a means other than using your 4-digit PIN (such as purchasing something over the phone and verbally authorizing the merchant to debit your account via your Visa Debit Card).
There is a $1.00 per transaction fee at foreign (other than Savings Bank of Maine) ATM locations and for the transactions at Point of Sale terminals, when you authorize the transaction by inputting your 4-digit PIN (Personal Identification Number).
If you take your Visa Debit Card to a merchant or bank and request a Cash Advance, there will be a $5.00 per transaction fee. (PLEASE NOTE - You may acquire cash, using your Visa Debit Card, at a Savings Bank of Maine ATM for no fee, or at a foreign ATM for a fee of $1.00).
