Repurchase Agreements Show

With a Savings Bank of Maine Repurchase Agreement, your excess cash works for you. Excess funds are placed overnight in a Repurchase Agreement* at competitive interest rates.

*Repurchase Agreements are not deposits and therefore are not federally insured by the U.S. Government, the FDIC, the Federal Reserve Board, or any other Government Agency. Savings Bank of Maine does secure funds placed into Repurchase Agreements with the Bank’s own securities portfolio which is segregated (externally and internally) specifically for Repurchase Agreement customers.

Certificates of Deposits Show

Savings Bank of Maine’s Certificates of Deposit offer rates that vary based on the term of the CD and the balance of the CD. The higher the balance and the longer the term, the higher the interest rate. Consider our bank for Certificates of Deposit. Check with our staff for details.

Note: Interest rates are set by management and may be changed at management’s discretion. A change in the rate will also affect the annual percentage yield. Interest is accrued on the average daily collected balance in your account. It is compounded monthly and credited monthly. We pay interest from the day of deposit to the day of withdrawal.
